Sean M. Surrisi

Sean is a lawyer with broad experience in litigation and transactional practice. His current practice focuses on civil work, appeals, and representation of local governments. Prior to joining this firm, Sean served for 12 years as Plymouth City Attorney – in-house counsel to long-serving Mayor Mark Senter. In that role, Sean spearheaded many policy and economic development initiatives of regional significance and oversaw the human resources and risk management programming for the City’s more than 100 employees. Sean began his career with a South Bend-based firm handling insurance coverage disputes, personal injury claims, and other trial and appellate practice. As a lawyer, Sean’s helped his clients close significant transactions and win victories in court. He has an unfailing belief in a good lawyer’s ability to build relationships, help people in need, and solve complex problems.

Outside the firm, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife, Janette Surrisi, and their daughter, Abby – a graduate of Culver Girls Academy and DePauw University who now lives in Chicago. Sean has been active in Indiana Republican politics, having served 9 years as Chairman of the Marshall County Election Board, and working for many candidates and campaigns.
